Unreadable content

Hello all,

Would be grateful for any help as struggling to resolve this one.

Have tried to open as text, open and recovery, embedding into word doc, opening as a txt file but no luck so far.

Saved a word doc (office 365) and getting the following message. When I select Yes I get the second error message

“word found unreadable content in “recruitment process”. Do you want to recover the contents of this document? If you do trust the source of this document, click Yes.”

"Word experienced an error trying to open the file. try these suggestions:

*Check the file permissions for the document or drive

*Make sure there is sufficient memory and disk space

*Open the file with the text recovery converter.

Thanks :)

Sounds like your file has become corrupted. There are a couple of people on the forum who are expert at handling this sort of problem. Just hope one of them see's this question.

    .

If you want to try a DIY method of recovering your text try this.

    • In File Explorer, make a copy of the file
    • Edit the file name, <F2> shortcut,
    • add .ZIP to the end of the file name, click "Yes" to the prompt
    • Double click on the "zip" folder to open it
    • Double click on the Word folder inside the Zip
    • Double click on the "Document.XML" sub file to something that looks like this, with your body text embedded withing formatting codes

In this example I've highlighted the 3 yellow heading 1's in the document
