Word Editor problem

Question

I cannot display the editor section in the word's home ribbon. It suddenly disappeared and not existed anymore. What would be a solution for that? Thanks in advance.

2108 is a semi-annual channel, let's get it changed to monthly, please follow the below steps:

1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator
2. Run this command: cd "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun"
3. Then run this command: .\OfficeC2RClient.exe /changesetting Channel=Current
4. Next, open Word, navigate to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now
5. That should put you to latest version
6. Once done, please restart the Word and see if the Editor is there in the menu or not

I have just bought this package, a week ago, and editor was present at the beginning. Disappeared after an update yesterday. It is Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019. Word version: 2108

The Editor is available only with the Monthly upgrade channel, I suspect you would be on a semi-annual channel, can you share the current version of your Windows and Word?

It could be due to any add-ons installed, let's try opening Word in safe mode to see if the issue is there or not, please execute the below command in the "Run" window, you can open the "Run" window by pressing Windows + R.

winword /safe

Check the Editor option in Word when it gets launched.

Hello, I did the instructions you suggested, but nothing happened. The editor is still not visible in safe mode. I have recently got an office update and then the editor is gone. Do you have any other solutions?
