Microsoft Forms - Uploaded Files Missing

Several uploaded files submitted through Forms are missing in the destination folder in OneDrive. Nine files were submitted last week and all are missing, one file was submitted today and is visible in OneDrive. I am able to see all ten file names in Forms//Responses but the links provided are broken for all but today's submission.

    Hi Ben,

May I know what error you are receiving when accessing the URL mentioned in the Excel workbook?

The upload file should appear under Document>Apps>Microsoft Forms>Form name>Question folder. I understand the uploaded file location does not seem right in Excel workbook, in form Responses tab, click the question (in your case Receipt), click More Details, as shown below.

In the prompt window, click the attached image under Responses, check if the image opens now.

Besides, may I know how you created the form, what was the starting point? Also, you are using your work or school account to create the form, right?

    Regards,

    Neha

This is for an expense tracking tool. Question #6 requires a photo of the receipt to be uploaded. I have received 10 submissions but only one file appears in the OneDrive destination folder.

I am able to view the excel file. One of the questions in my form requires a file upload. The uploaded file saves in OneDrive in the Apps folder. In the excel sheet the uploaded file shows as a link to the saved uploaded file in OneDrive. My problem is that the link in the excel sheet (and the link on the form submission) does not work and the uploaded file is not in the OneDrive folder.

    Hi Ben,

May I know if you are referring to the Excel workbook that contains the responses of the form and it open when we click Open in Excel in Response tab, as shown below?

If the workbook has the cloud icon (like the one shown in the screenshot), the workbook will store in the cloud location (depending on its starting point when you created the form, if you see the cloud icon with the Excel icon, the workbook will either store in OneDrive for business or SharePoint site library).

As you mentioned the workbook is missing, please consider creating a syncing the responses to the new workbook.

    1. In your form on the Responses tab, select More options ![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/ac6a0a64-e90f-444b-be43-c346e8768ac1?platform=QnA"https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/d7c20e1c-dbc7-4e6f-8e71-9f31261bc96c?platform=QnA" rel="ugc nofollow">

A new workbook will open in Excel with your most up-to-date responses. This new workbook will be stored next to your original workbook on OneDrive for work or school or SharePoint Online.

For detailed information, see How to get missing data in Forms (microsoft.com)

Please check if this fixes the response workbook. if you still need help, please let me know.

      Regards,

      Neha
