Links in embedded document don't work

An external page is embedded using the embed web part, but the links don't work. They're set to open in a new tab and are correct but nothing happens when links are clicked.

    Thank you for querying in this forum.

    I went through the post carefully. I also tested on my side, use Embed web part to embed an external page(Bing home page) and an external file(Google sheet) on a SharePoint page. When I click the links on the embedded page and the embedded file, the links work and they open fine in new tab.

    As I cannot reproduce the issue, to help you narrow down the situation and troubleshot the issue, could you please confirm information below?

    1.Does the issue happen in a specific browser? What browser are you using? If you try a different browser, does the links work?

    2.If you try a different SharePoint page and embed the external page/file again, does same issue happen?

    3.If you try a different SharePoint site, does the issue happen?
