Insert Icons - Not Responding

Question

Hello,

I am trying to upload Icons using the "Insert Icons" Option, but the application just hangs when it reaches here. I tried the same using Powerpoint, Excel as well Word, but the outcome is still the same. I have uninstalled office & re-installed the same twice also "No Updates" available.

I'm Renzo, I'll help you with your question.

Try following process:

1. Open any Office app like Word > File > Options > Trusted Center > Trusted Center Settings > Privacy Options > take a look that the "Enable optional connected experiences is ticked"
2. On the other hand, if your internet connection is behind a VPN or Proxy, this may be the problem, disable them temporally and see if work.

Do the same if you have security software such as antivirus (other than Windows Defender), antimalware or any other security software,

stop them until the next restart or create an exception for Office.

3. If previous process doesn't work, with the keys combinations (Windows + R), you'll open the "Run" windows, then type: regedit and run it as an admin.

You need to find Identities folder and delete it.

you will find it in this path:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities

Then open any Office app and sign in with your account and check the result.

Important: Follow the steps carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Also you can back up the Windows registry:
