I'm having an issue getting my cell dropdowns to update when I add a new item to the Data Validation List Table. Every guide I've seen says this should work easily, but I can't figure out why it isn't working.
As an Example:
I have a field that lists the Medication someone is prescribed. On a separate sheet I created a List of medications, and turned that list into a table. I then went back to the Medication column and set the data validation as "list," and then for the source I selected all of the available options in the medication list/table. Now when I click a cell in the Medication column, the dropdown appears with all of the listed medications, everything works fine. Now I add a new medication to the bottom of the list. The table has definitely expanded to include the new medication, but when I go back to the original sheet and click on a cell in the medication column, the dropdown has not updated, it still only shows the original list of medications. Am I missing a step? Is this something particular to certain versions of Office? I'm running 365. I'm at a total loss here.
