Error when uploading to Shared Onedrive folder

Hi there,

I have a problem when one of our users tries to upload files to a shared Onedrive folder. This folder is Shared with us from an external company when we need to share files with them. It is shared via link in email, I am able to upload to this folder without any problems, but one user cannot upload and receives the error "The security validation for this page is invalid and might be corrupted. Please use your browser's Back button to try your operation again."

Like I mentioned, I was able to upload these specific files from my PC, she receives an error when uploading.

Any suggestions on what to check.

    Hi Heinrich Kok,

Thank you for the reply and the information.

As you mentioned the link worked on two different PC's, so, it should be due to the specific devices.

To narrow down it, you may also try the following suggestion to narrow down whether the issue is due to the specific user profile on your problematic computer.

Try to use a new Windows user account. For your information: How to switch users (accounts) in Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

If you don’t have another user account, please Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

    Best Regards,

    May

    Hi there,

I have cleared her browser's cache and I have tested on two different browsers, it now gives an "I/O Error" when trying to upload.

I have tested the link on two different PC's and it works there.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your reply.

I can confirm that this happens to any files she is trying to upload, with the same error.

I will need to remote into her desktop as soon as I get a chance, and clear her browser cache and try another browser.

I will report back my findings as soon as possible.

    Hi Heinrich Kok,

Thank you for posting in this community. And share the experience with us.

Since this issue only happens to the specific user, you may suggest the user try the following methods:

    1. Try to use another web browser or remove the cache files in her web browser.
    2. Try to access the link using another device.

If the issue persists, may I confirm if the issue also happens to other files while uploading?

    Best Regards,

    May
