Can't Unhide Rows

I have a checkbook file for an organization for which I am the treasurer that I update and save as with the current date. I went back to a previous file to compare to the current and find that rows 96-110 are hidden. I had split the window and removed that. I selected rows 95 and 111, went to format - unhide rows. Nothing happened. I selected the entire sheet and clicked on unhide rows, nothing happened.

I closed the workbook and reopened it to make sure I turned "Read Only" off, repeated the above steps, and nothing happened.

I am stumped as to how these rows became hidden and why I cannot unhide these rows. I need the information those rows contain.

Help!

Thank you.

    Re: rows still hidden

Did you select all of the rows before changing the row height?

Clicking the intersection of the row and column headers selects everything...

Thanks for your suggestion. I increased the row height to 25. That made the visible rows larger but did not unhide the rows I cannot see.

    Re:  hidden rows

Rows that are ~0.2 high appear hidden but to Excel are visible.
Select all rows and then specify a row height (~15) and see if that makes a difference.

Note: the worksheet must be unprotected.
