Standalone Visio

I have a completely standalone environment that does not have access to any external resources, to specifically include Internet. Is there an offline/standalone version of Visio that does not require Internet for registration, activation and/or recurring validation?

    Yes

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/microsoft-365/visio/microsoft-visio-plans-and-pricing-compare-visio-options?activetab=tabs:primaryr2

Here is link to buy standalone Visio.

    ,

On the right side of the page are links for Phone/email support. Ask them how you would do an Offline purchase, install and activation.

    .

It would be easiest if you could connect to the internet to do the purchase, install and activation. Arter that you could run disconnected.

    .

If this purchase works like other Office products, which I ****-ume it does, then when you go to the link and chose to buy it it will require you to provide an email account to associate the license with. It could be a generic corporate "admin" account rather than a personal account.

    .

After the license is purchased, you should be able to download an "Offline Installer" file which you would run on the disconnected computer.

    .

After the install, you would do a phone activation.

The problem with this suggestion I have is that phone activation requires a product key. I don't know if the standalone purchase will give you a product key.

    .

After the purchase, please post a reply with process you had go through to make it work.

    .

Here are a couple of links on how to download offline installer. I'm guessing you will have to use the "business" one since MS considers Visio (and Project) to be "business" apps.

    Offline Installer

Business subscribers need to use the ODT to get the files to install  offline. Use the Office offline installer (microsoft.com)

    .

Family and Personal can download the offline file.

    Hi GMG2022,

Thank you for querying in this forum.

From your description, it seems that you want to find a way to get standalone version of Visio and you can activate and validate it without Internet.

May I know if my understanding is right? If so, as far as we know, we’re afraid that we may not have such version of Visio 365 subscription. Generally, if you want to activate office products, you need to connect to Internet. To get Microsoft 365 Apps fully functional, the user need to connect to the internet and let the Activation and Validation Service activate the installation.

However, per our search, it seems that we can activate a perpetual license of Visio by using the telephone, for your reference: How to activate a perpetual license of Visio (microsoft.com)

For example, Visio LTSC Professional 2021 or Visio LTSC Standard 2021. Buy Microsoft Visio Professional 2021 - Pricing & Requirements | Microsoft Store

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, you can also post back and point that.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Best Regards,

    Sukie

    Thanks Sukie.

Correct, we need a standalone version of Visio and telephone activation for perpetual licensing. The system will never have Internet access, so we cannot use MS365 dependent products. Since there will be no Internet connectivity, can Visio be purchased on a disc instead of digital delivery -or- can the digital delivery be downloaded and burned to optical disc then installed from the burned optical disc?
