Jim, thank you again anyhow.

Although support for Office 16 for Mac ended last October, is it still possible to download and install it? All attempts, despite instructions seemingly showing how, just take me back to purchasing Microsoft 365 or Office 19 for Mac.

Hi Clive,
Each version of Mac OS can run in specific Apple hardware. I know of no way to get around that.
Hello Jim,
Many thanks for sending through the link for installing Office 2016 - very kind of you and much appreciated!
Actually, I found that all my attempts via Microsoft to try and install Office 2016 always led me back to Microsoft encouraging, if not forcing, me to install Microsoft 365 and in the end I decided to bite the bullet and buy 365.
Even then, I am not sure if I have been able to install the full version of 365 as the operating system on my MacBook Pro, OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 is getting a bit aged now and when I initially tried to install 365 I received a message telling me that my current operating system doesn't have the necessary requirements, but there was another option for installing 365 on 10.10.5 so I went ahead and did this.
I am now trying to upgrade my OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 to version 10.12 'Sierra' (2016) and if possible 10.13 'High Sierra' (2017), 10.14 'Mojave' (2018) or 10.15 'Catalina' (2019).
However, the app store informs me that none of these upgrades are available for my computer and Google searches advise me that the best (only?) way to do it is to find some clever, forward thinking person who has saved links to these upgrades. You wouldn't by any chance be this person would you or alternatively know someone or somewhere who might be able to help me?
My best wishes and many thanks again.
Clive
