Setup Calendar Processing to be both AutoUpdate and decline conflicts

Good Afternoon,

We have a series of conference rooms where the admin is asking if we can have set for AutoUpdate so she can go in and accept the meeting request sent to the Room mailbox, but also wants the room resource to automatically decline the request if there is a conflict. I know having AutomateProcessing set to AutoAccept will do this, but again, she does not want meeting to be accepted automatically. Told me it was set like this before, but I can't say that is the case with any certainty.

this would be for any meeting whether a single instance or one with recurrence.

Here are the results from Get-CalendarProcessing command for one of the rooms:

    Hi Brian Doc,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft community.

Based on your description, would you please try in the Exchange admin center to leave Auto-accepts meeting request blank and assign a Booking delegate(s) to see if it works better. For your reference: Create and manage room mailboxes | Microsoft Docs

In the Exchange admin center (https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/), go to Resources > Add a resource.

During the creation of the room mailbox, uncheck Auto-accepts meeting request and assign a Booking delegate(s).

You can also set Allow up to this number/percentage of individual conflicts to allow a recurring event the specified number/percentage of conflicts before being denied.

Hope it helps! If any update, welcome to share with us.

    Thanks & Stay safe,

    Qian
