Android word app keeps freezing. Cleared cache, data, uninstalled, reinstalled. Phone updated. Still keeps freezing locking up.

As you have re-installed the app, I suppose you already have the latest version of Word app and you have performed all the troubleshooting, in this situation, I will request you consider sending the feedback to the Product Team by using the feedback tool right from the Word for Android app, tap your username at the top right, and selecting Settings. Once you're in the settings window, scroll down towards the bottom and select Send Feedback. This is the quickest route to get your comments to the developers’ ears, this will have more impact as the feedback is coming directly from the customer.

I have no subscription. I am using the free Android word app on my s20 ultra note. The problem occurs with any and all documents I am editing or creating. The only way to get the app working is to reboot the phone. And then after a short while, the app freezes up again.

1. May I know which Microsoft 365 subscription you have, is it Family/personal or business?
2. Please check if other Office apps such as Excel and PowerPoint are also affected.
3. Is Word app freezing when you open a specific document or opening the app itself causes the issue?
