Hello,

Is there a way I can disable @mentions on SharePoint document library? This is in regard to office files I do not want to have the users disabling by themselves, I need to disable it for one document library or site. Is there a PowerShell command or setting where this can be done?

@Mentions from this documentation Use @mention in comments to tag someone for feedback (microsoft.com)

Regards,

Grace.

Hi GraceMajekodunmi,

I go through the post carefully, user may disable @mention notification for all SharePoint sites(check the link for more information: Set your SharePoint email notification preferences (microsoft.com)), however, the same setting could be not available in Library level. I am really sorry for the inconvenience this causes and would suggest you leave your comments and ideas in SharePoint feedback community at SharePoint · Community (microsoft.com), your feedback will promote the related developer team of SharePoint to develop the feature!

Thanks for your efforts and understanding!

Best Regards,

Clark

    Hello Clark,

I thought as much. I'm looking for a general switch off not just for each users and for each site or library. I believe that's not possible at the moment.

    Thank you for your response.
