Hello,

Do any one had a problem with viewing attached PDF files in MS List.

Everything works fine, I create new item in MS List, gave a name (Title) and attached PDF file. In the background I have flow that send email with that PDF file when new item is created.

From some reason, now I can not open new attached PDF file, is said: "Failed to load PDF document." and when MS Flow send PDF file, a document is corrupted.

All files attached, for items created before today, works fine.

I will be appreciative if someone can help me with this.

Thanks

    Hi M_M_Braun,

Thanks for the updates. It seems that the issue affect only one List, and you cannot upload Word document to the list either. As a workaround, you may Record a list, move items to the new lists and check the result.

However, it could be required to use some tools and catch logs to find the root causes for the issue, For further troubleshooting, I would suggest you create Support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin center>Support>New service request. Agents there have more resource and tools to troubleshooting the issue further and may help find root causes. For more information on creating support ticket: **** Get support | Microsoft Docs. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

    Best Regards,

    Clark

    Hi M_M_Braun,

Thanks for the updates. Based on the description, it seems that the issue happen today, and only effect one list in your environment. If the issue related to server incident or local configuration, it should affect all your lists in SharePoint. To check if the issue related to any other programs, I would suggest you perform clean boot on windows and check the result: **** How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

It is possible that the issue related to specific PDF document you are trying to upload. May I know what if you upload a simple PDF created from Word, or upload the PDF to another list that works well, does the issue happen?

    Regards,

    Clark

    Dear Clark,

    Thank you for reply.

It is not browser related. I have try Explorer and Chrome and same thing happen.

This is first time that this occurs.

I have this flow for months now and today it is first time I get this note.

When I open work flow everything is fine. After item creation, flow sends email with a name of item and attachment of uploaded PDF file.

Also locally, in the list, when I try to open PDF file, after upload, gave me a black screen with a note: "Failed to load PDF document."

In the mail I got uploaded PDF but when I try to open it, I get note in Acrobat rider that file is corrupted.

This is only list I have a problem. I have a couple of lists but no problem with them. Also PDF document in this list which I have attach before, with items I have created before, works fine, just these couple which I upload today don’t work.

Is it possible that this may be some local temporary problem and everything will back as it was ? :)

Thank you once more for help.

    Hi M_M_Braun,

I go through the post carefully. I tested on my side by attach PDF files to SharePoint list, however I cannot repro the same issue. the pdf file open in browser normally. To check if the issue related to browser, I would suggest you open the site in InPrivate window, or from other browser and check the result. Additionally, may I know information below for further troubleshooting?

    1. Can you View the pdf files that have issue in SharePoint list locally?
    2. Does the same issue happen on other lists in SharePoint?
    3. Have you changed anything before the issue?

    Regards,

    Clark
