Gaming files missing after using onedrive

I have a PC game that I download and install addons for through the Minion app. When I tried syncing with onedrive for the first time today, Minion couldn't find my addons. I went to the C drive folder where the game is installed and the addon folder was empty. I did a search for "addons" on my computer and saw they had all apparently been moved (?) to the one drive. I pointed Minion at the onedrive folder and then it could fine my addons, but the base game is still installed on my computer and I don't want it to use the one drive location for its addons. How to I restore files from onedrive to my actual hardrive? In fact, how do I restore all the files onedrive took from my laptop back on to my hard drive where they were and how they were and then stop using onedrive? Thank you.

OneDrive is a cloud location of your docs/data

The default installation of Office 365 and its OneDrive component uploads all the contents of the PC  \My Documents\ folders to OneDrive, (syncs) and there will be a OneDrive folder in File Explorer containing all the OneDrive content. And in Word etc the default Save location is set to OneDrive.

Via the OneDrive cloud icon on the task bar >Settings>Choose folders you exclude the game add-ons folder
