Comments in Excel

I have Excel for Mac 16.50 and have a continuing problem with comments. Some of the comment boxes collapse so that they are unreadable with mouse hover. If you go to "edit comment" some of the collapsed boxes (but not all) have re-positioned themselves to the top left corner of the spreadsheet. The problem keeps recurring. Is there a solution?

I haven't tried this, but while in the comment edit mode move the comment so that displays in the column where the comment is located, not over an adjacent column.

It's been a while since I've seen the problem, but if I remember correctly you will need to edit each comment that is causing the problem and while in edit mode drag the comment back to the position where you want it. As for collapsed comments you also need to get into the edit mode and resize the comments.

The real question is why this is happening. I believe it occurs when one insert or delete rows or columns and possibly when columns are resized.

Thanks, but I have put them right several times but it keeps recurring. Yes, you could be right about it being related to inserting rows because I do this quite often.
