I would like to help you troubleshoot this issue, but I need more details.
- Wich version of Office are you using now? Such as Microsoft 365 apps, Office 2019 Home & Student.
- Is there any error message or error code pops up? If so, could you please take a screenshot and share with us.
If the Office is still on your machine, I suggest you run following command to check the information, and please copy the results and paste back.
- Search CMD, right-click the Command Prompt and run as administrator. Then copy and paste the command in it, click Enter at last:
cscript.exe "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus(If you are running 32-bit Office on a 64-bit operating system)
cscript.exe "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus
