How to split a powerpoint presentation into 4 different sections. Each section plays automatically but will need to stop before the next section and add interaction.

My intention is to effectively have different presentations within one powerpoint and play them automatically; but at the end of each section, the user can interact by either repeat the section, or go to the next section. I haven't been able to find this information anywhere and would appreciate it if someone could help. Would I need to make a movie of each presentation and then import the 4 movies into one deck and add stops at the end of each movie and a slide with buttons to choose to replay or go to next movie?

Many thanks.

The PowerPoint part of your question is simple enough. Make the slides for each section automatically transition to the next, except for the last slide in the section. On this slide, make the transition manual. Then add 2 hyperlinks, one to go to the next section and the other to take you back to the first slide in the section.

I'm not clear why you then need to duplicate this in a deck with video versions of the same material. But place each video on its own slide,,set them to play automatically, and add 2 hyperlinks, one to re-trigger the movie and another to go to the next slide.

    Hi John,

Thank you for your help! That solves the issue.

Sorry, the video part of my enquiry was just me assuming that perhaps they needed to be saved as videos and imported. I am not an expert on powerpoint, but both answers are helpful in case I need to add videos in the future.

    Many thanks!
