No Access Permissions, No Syncing???

I use a software program for people with disabilities called Kurzweil 3000 and have never had any issues syncing my files through Microsoft’s OneDrive until now. I recently restored my Windows 10 operating system back to factory settings and this is with my issues began. After reinstalling all my third-party software, I noticed the OneDrive icon in the bottom right corner of my screen has an X on it alerting me of the following issue.

Kurzweil 3000 Output Audio.Ink

No access permissions to the item. It appears that you do not have access permissions to the item. Ensure that you have the right permissions to allow the item to sync.

Is this issue being caused by OneDrive or Kurzweil 3000? I mean, are access permissions for syncing changes typically performed through Microsoft’s OneDrive or would this be done through third-party software such as Kurzweil 3000?

    Hello Beachmoose,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Support Community

Access errors and Admin issues are common in Windows 10 and almost always mean a corrupted account.
Here are some fixes, there are a lot, but try them all (please backup your one drive folder before you start)

    1. Clear Browser Cache
    2. Take ownership of the folder/file

    See link below
    https://windowsreport.com/onedrive-access-denied-error/

    1. Reset one drive:
press Windows + R, and paste:
      %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
press enter (wait one minute) and restart
    2. Uninstall One drive and download a new one from below
