Clipboard Android Devices - OneNote application

Is there a work around for copying/pasting on Android devices in OneNote application when using the clipboard on Samsung devices. It used to work great but for the last few months, must've been an update, it stopped functioning. I now have gray lines on the clipboard and not the information I've been copying to paste in another area. I have uninstalled, cleared cache, cleared data, yet it still will not work as before. Anyone know if there will be an update to this functionality? Thanks 😊

    Hello Sneha,

Thank you so much for your quick response. In the Samsung keyboard settings, clipboard had no option to enable nor did the OneNote application. I even tried search function in the phone for clipboard settings but nothing populated as well. I didn't think about Samsung setting up security parameters for their clipboard, which is probably why third party access is being denied. If you can think of anything else, please let me know!

    Kind regards,

    Hi TrippieHug3,

I'm Sneha and I'd be happy to help you out with your question.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused, No there is no such update released which restricts clipboard feature possibly it happens due to Samsung Security/Privacy Updates which restrict continuous access of Clipboard by other apps or devices to keep your data safe.

To fix it you’ll need to update Clipboard Access through your Device Settings.

Go to Device Settings -> Privacy -> Enable Alert when Clipboard Accessed.

After this Go to OneNote App Settings/Ap Info -> Permissions -> Enable Clipboard permission.

Also Go to System Settings again -> General Management -> Samsung Keyboard Settings -> Enable “Keyboard Toolbar” if not Enabled.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and be glad to assist you further.
