Continuous Text Box

Hi all,

Is there a way to make a text box continue from one page to the next? When I try to make a text box surrounding text in excess of one page, Word makes the text box extend beyond the limits of the page, but it doesn't actually continue onto the next page -- it just cuts off. Hope that makes sense.

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Word does not have that option to continue a text box on the next page.

Create a new text box on the second page

Select the text box on the first page

On the Shape format Tab at the top, click 'Create Link'

Then click the text box on the second page, and the text should flow from the first text box into the second text box.

Why are you using textboxes? While linking them as DaveM121 suggests will cause the text to flow from one to another, and is the only time that I use them, I only use them in that way if I want to the text to flow around some other object.

It is not necessary to use a text box, to have the text flow from one page to the next.
