Cursor control within OneNote for Android doesn't work

This has been an ongoing problem so I'm not sure when it happened, but at some point the cursor control within OneNote for Android stopped working. Normally you'd use CTRL-cursor to move up/down a paragraph or left/right by word. This is no longer the case. I can use the cursor keys to move only one letter or line at a time. This makes the software essentially unusable.

This first started on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ with either of the Samsung (attached) keyboards. I stopped using the software and am now trying again on my Tab S8+. The problem persists, despite a new tablet and reinstallation of the software.

Cursor control works fine in other apps, such as Office, e.g., Word. The problem exists only with OneNote.

It will not let me do this. In order to try to open the notebook within Edge, my default browser, I have to delete the OneNote app, otherwise it simply opens the app when I click on the web link. After deleting the app, when I click on a notebook within the browser it invites me to install the app. If I skip this step, it takes me to my OneDrive and not my OneNote files.

    Hi BobHovorka,

My name is Tim and I’m sorry to see you’re experiencing issues. I will gladly assist you today.

Have you tried using the OneNote online web version to see if the issue is still present?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards
