Hi,

We recently lost access to sharepoint. It was working before but now we are unable to access it. Is there anything we can do to restore this?

Dear P M_953,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft munity. We are happy to help you.

It seems you get an error message when you try to access one of your SharePoint sites! Don't worry, together we can solve this problem.

In reference to this error message, I would like to collect more information to help us troubleshoot this issue: Kindly provide the information below:

  1. May I know if you have tried to change the browser? If you have been using Chrome, What if you use Edge to access the site? does the error still occur?
  2. Have you checked in the Active Sites in SharePoint Admin Center? Is the site available there? Open the SharePoint admin center> Active sites. If you find it, click its URL directly, does the issue still exist?
  3. To troubleshoot whether the issue is caused by the internet, could you please change the internet or using your phone to access the site. After that, please check again.
  4. Let us assume this site was deleted. Can you please check in the Deleted Sites via SharePoint Admin Center and click Restore to restore it if it is available? Please check this article: Restore deleted sites - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Docs

Regarding this error message, during our research, we also found an article which you may also need to check to see if the suggestions given can help. Please see: ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE error when accessing SharePoint site - SharePoint | Microsoft Docs.

I appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial reply may not help to solve the problem, but we can work together and get a solution.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thanks for your cooperation. We look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Edwine | Microsoft Community Moderator
