OneNote sync issue - Android version 12

Hi people,
I've been using OneNote for years on mobile, tablet & desktop with little problems.

But recently, all my OneNote apps have had problems syncing the notebooks & I keep getting the message "To sync this notebook, sign in to OneNote. (Error code: 0xE0000024 bdf5h)".

I signed out of all my OneNote app, logged back into it but continue to get this error.

I've cleared cache, cleared data, uninstalled & re-installed OneNote but still continue to get this error.

For the OneNote issue on my Samsung Galaxy mobile, this error is very annoying but syncs occasionally when I force the sync.

For the OneNote issue on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A Lite, it gets worse and now OneNote doesn't sync at all and all my Notebook is empty & won't sync (see screenshot below). Despite syncing for a few hours over WiFi. The internet connection is fine, there is plenty of storage space on the tablet. Plus there is an additional error "Something went wrong and we can't do what you asked. We're sorry. Error: 0x80070005." that keeps popping up. I also can't add any other of my NoteBooks!!!

I would like help fixing both mobile & tablet apps but I need the tablet app fixed more urgently as I use OneNote daily on the tablet!

    Same issue here.

Sync worked fine until today on my RedMi Note 10 with Android 12.

I already re-installed OneNote and did remove my Microsoft account, but things did not change.

It still doesn't sync my notebooks.

It only shows my single notebook item with a small sync symbol in the lower left corner of the icon.

When I try a "sync all" the spinning circle shows up for a few seconds but no sync is done.

If I click on the notebook the screen says "There aren't any sections here" and a sync (from the 3 dots in the upper right corner menu) does nothing.

My Lenovo Tab P10 with Android 11 and my old Android 7.1 phone do still sync my notebook without any problems.

What I did yesterday on my Android 12 phone was the installation of 2 shop apps (kaufland, netto) but this must not create any sync issues to a totally different app.

Hello there, thank you for the reply.

I've deleted OneNote cache and data, and uninstalled and reinstalled the OneNote for Android app multiple times to no avail.

The issue still persists as of this moment.

    Hello,

Are you still encountering this issue?

You may have to update your devices and also, all though you cleared your cache, you may still be some corrupted files within your devices that are continuing this issue, so you should check the data's cache files just to make sure. If this doesn't lead anywhere, feel free to reply back.

    Best Wishes,

    Mark D.M.
