Why does a notification referencing Microsoft Office Single Image 2010 keep popping up, then disappear, only to repeat the process endlessly?

I used to have Office 2010 on my PC running Windows 10, but I uninstalled it when I downloaded Office 2016. Per the search function in Windows, there is still one Office 2010 files on my computer which cannot be deleted via Control Panel -- Update for Microsoft Office 2010 KB2553347 64-Bit Edition. I repeatedly get a popup notification about Microsoft Office Single Image 2010 trying to do something, which leads to other popups that reference the need to load a CD, and then all popups disappear and reappear later, when the process then repeats itself without end. How can I fix this? Thanks.

    Hi Mark

I'm AnnaThomas and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

It's possible that the remaining Office 2010 file on your computer is causing the pop-up notification to appear, please try to use the Microsoft Office Removal Tool:

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    Check your Task Manager:

Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc on your keyboard. Look for any Office 2010 processes that are running and end them. Restart your computer and see if the pop-up notification still appears.

    Then delete the file manually:

Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder where the Office 2010 file is located. Right-click on the file and select "Delete." If you receive an error message, try using the Command Prompt as an administrator to delete the file.

Hi Anna: I already tried to use Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant, but it could not remove that file.

    It generated the following report:
