Not able to load MS Query in Microsoft Excel for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2212 Build 16.0.15928.20278) 64-bit, when logging in withM365 accounts. This is also true on different update versions of Excel and Win10. If opening on a non 365 sign in it will work.
The issue is that it does not display the choose data source prompt when MS query is selected to be open
It will instead do nothing for around 30 seconds and the display the message: Microsoft Query could not be started because it isn't Installed. You can install the query by running the installation program you used to install Office or Excel. The Query option is in the Office Tools category.
The MS Query program itself always loads in the background when it works on the non 365 accounts and also when the message comes up saying it is not installed with using a 365 account.
The MSQRY32.exe is located within C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16
We have a Win11 test device and it works no problem with Excel using a M365 account. Have tried repairing Office, new device builds etc. Something with using M365 accounts not allowing the choose data source prompt to load?
