Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Yes Sarah I agree, it is unacceptable but I am reliably informed (elsewhere and not on this forum) that this issue was triggered by an update released by Microsoft. This is the issue with Cloud service products that users have little or no control over what updates they wish to install.
As has been explained to me the issue is similar to 2 adjacent columns in an excel spreadsheet being centre aligned in the vertical dimension instead of just the one containing the text of the question. I imagine it was done by a junior (unsupervised) staff member whose work was not thoroughly checked before being released as a live update. This is not uncommon with Microsoft because in their keenness to get the products out, they sacrifice thorough testing.
Whilst we are left, at the moment, with a very untidy looking solution, thankfully the underlying functionality i.e. being able to capture volumes of data, remains unaffected.
I am inform that Microsoft have been made aware of this issue so let's hope it gets a quick fix.
