One Note problem on a Surface Go 3

Hi, I switched from a Surface Go "model with Intel Pentium and 4GB of RAM" to a Surface Go 3 "model with Intel Pentium and 8GB of RAM" that I use every day to take notes in class. Since I switched to the new surface I've noticed that after a while I write it starts to get input errors, I click the erase button and it doesn't erase, or I write but it doesn't recognize pen input. I've always used One Note (The Office version), changing computers I switched to Windows 11 and the pen remained the same, a RENAISSER Raphael 530. I also noticed that while I'm writing it's as if it recognized inputs in another part of the screen. I write with the left hand and I set the hand in the settings.

I've already tried reinstalling One Note, doing a system restore, and updating the pen drivers. Thank you!

    Hi

I'm Taiwo and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, We are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with One Note on your new Surface. Here are a few troubleshooting suggestions that you can try:

    1. Make sure that you have the latest version of One Note installed. You can check for updates by opening the Microsoft Store app and selecting "Downloads and updates" from the menu.
    2. Check the settings for your pen. Go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink and make sure that the hand you write with is selected. You can also try adjusting the pen sensitivity or recalibrating the pen.
    3. Try using a different pen or stylus to see if the issue is with the pen itself.
    4. Disable any other apps or programs that might be running in the background and interfering with the pen input. You can also try restarting your Surface Go 3 to clear any temporary issues.
    5. Check if there are any updates available for your Surface device. To do this, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

If none of these works, you may want to contact Microsoft support for further assistance: support.microsoft.com/contactus/

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards, Thank You.
