Tracing Phishing Attachment

Question

My account was hacked through an email attachment called Perferendis.html. I accidentally clicked it at the time and didnt think twice about it, but since that day all my accounts have been hacked, even my bank account. Is there anyway to trace the hacker if I have the original phishing attachment and email? I know for a fact this is the hacker email and attachment, and I hope there would be a way to trace who this person is or get any information on the hacker.

A phishing email is an email that appears legitimate but is actually an attempt to get your personal information or steal your money.

There isn't any information to suggest you can trace a hacker, however, using Sign-in activity, you can see when and where your account has been accessed—including successful sign-ins and security challenges—on the Recent activity page.

If you receive a phishing email:

1. Never click any links or attachments in suspicious emails. If you receive a suspicious message from an organization and worry the message could be legitimate, go to your web browser and open a new tab. Then go to the organization's website from your own saved favorite, or via a web search. Or call the organization using a phone number listed on the back of a membership card, printed on a bill or statement, or that you find on the organization's official website.
2. If the suspicious message appears to come from a person you know, contact that person via some other means such as text message or phone call to confirm it.
3. Report the message (see below).
4. Delete it.
