I'm trying to figure why Authenticator mobile app running on Android 13 on a Galaxy s20 is not getting push notifications when I try to sign into my personal locker. It appears to not have issues signing into my overall Microsoft account.
While I can still get into my personal using the workaround above (knock on wood), it is really, really annoying that I now have to constantly go into the app and actively check (twice!) for my notifications to show up. I have no idea why this basic functionality stopped working suddenly.

Hello,
Unfortunately, I don't have any further troubleshooting to offer.
There are many knowledgeable users active on the forum and I hope that someone else can offer further insight on your issue.
Thanks, Abdal
Hi Abdal, as I said in my post, I already reinstalled, cleared app data/cache, and enabled app and system notification settings. I also turned off battery optimization but forgot to include in the post. I've confirmed my date/time settings are correct. The issue remains. Is there something else I can try?
Hello
I am Abdal and I would be glad to help you with your question.
It seems like you have already done the basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue, so let's try some advanced troubleshooting methods.
Check if the Microsoft Authenticator app has the required permissions to show push notifications. To do this, go to your device's settings, then go to the app settings for Microsoft Authenticator. Check if the app has permissions to show notifications.
Clear the cache and data for the Microsoft Authenticator app. This can be done by going to the app settings, then selecting the Microsoft Authenticator app. From there, you can clear the cache and data.
Check if there are any battery optimization settings that are preventing the Microsoft Authenticator app from showing notifications. Some Android devices have battery optimization settings that can prevent apps from running in the background, which can cause issues with push notifications. You can check this by going to your device's settings, then searching for "battery optimization." From there, you can select the Microsoft Authenticator app and turn off battery optimization.
Ensure that your phone's time and date settings are correct. Incorrect time and date settings can cause issues with push notifications.
I hope this information helps.
Regards,
Abdal
