Hello, I am using Microsoft Forms and have noticed that when respondents enter free-text numbers in the form, the resulting data in the connected Excel workbook is not recognized as numeric values. This issue is hindering my ability to perform calculations and data analysis directly in the workbook. I have tried various approaches, including ensuring the number formatting and attempting to convert the text to numbers using formulas, but none have provided a satisfactory solution. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? I would like the numbers entered in the form to be recognized as numeric values in the connected Excel workbook so that I can perform calculations and analysis efficiently. Is there a specific configuration or setting that needs to be adjusted within the Microsoft Forms integration to ensure the proper recognition and formatting of the numbers? Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate any guidance or assistance you can provide to help me resolve this issue.

I would like to add that when it enters the number into the workbook, it puts an apostrophe in front of the number. How can I get Microsoft forms to populate the numbers in the workbook without the apostrophe so I can perform the calculations. Since there will be thousands of data points, I do not want to spend the time removing every apostrophe on every data point that’s entered.
