Microsoft 365 Classroom functionality

Hi braintrust,

Slowly working on figuring out how I will be using Microsoft 365 as a teacher in the classroom. I am shifting from a school that used Google Classroom.

One functionality that I found incredibly useful with GC was the integration between the GC space and all of the Google Apps. I am struggling to find replication of this in 365.

The only straightforward integration I can find with the 365 Classroom Notebook is with Forms, which is great for forms based stuff like quizzes but not ideal for other things. Is there any other integration that I am just missing somehow?

Specifically, the type of functionality I am looking for is things like being able to quickly share a PowerPoint/Word 365 document etc with all students making a copy for each individual. I can find no way to do this with OneDrive/Notebook etc. I can provide a link to the original in Notebook for example and have each student open that and manually make a copy each, then have them manually share the document back with me, but that is making a multistep process out of something that was a single click distribute in GC. Wasting classroom time and explanation.

Thanks for any tips.

    Dear Geoffrey,

You can create a class type team in Teams and then click on Assignments>attach or create a new file and click on Assign to assign it to all students.

Then the students can see the assignment in Teams and modify their copies and send them back to you by clicking on Turn in.
