Sub-Tasks in Planner

Does anyone know how to assign a sub-task to a specific person in Planner?

I'd like to assign people and dates in the checklist section, but it doesn't look like this is possible.

Seems like this would be a great functional addition! This is the only thing I don't like about Planner...

    There is not currently that feature however, I can understand your viewpoint on this feature and would recommend sending feedback directly through the application.
