    Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Standard) in Microsoft Purview provides a basic eDiscovery tool that organizations can use to search and export content in Microsoft 365 and Office 365. You can also use eDiscovery (Standard) to place an eDiscovery hold on content locations, such as Exchange mailboxes, SharePoint sites, OneDrive accounts, and Microsoft Teams.

    For detailed prerequisites and steps to setup, create or manage eDiscovery cases, please refer to Get started with eDiscovery (Standard) and Create and manage an eDiscovery (Premium) case if you have Office 365 E5 or Microsoft 365 E5 subscription (or related E5 add-on subscriptions).
