    Hi MIcktamis,

Thank you for reaching out. My name is Leo, a user just like you. I'd be happy to help you with your concern.

Microsoft has already announced an option similar to importrange, which is the workbook link. It was first released in Excel desktop applications, and now it is available in Excel online as well. To use the workbook link, follow the steps below:

    1. Open your Microsoft Excel online.
    2. Open two workbooks in Excel for the web (they should be stored in either OneDrive or SharePoint)
    3. In the source workbook, copy the range.
    4. In the destination workbook, ‘Paste Links’ via the right-click menu or via ‘Paste Special’ on the ‘Home’ tab.

Alternatively, you may reference the workbook explicitly using the following reference pattern:

    ='https://domain/folder/[workbookName.xlsx]sheetName'! CellOrRangeAddress

If you ignore or dismiss the bar, we will not be able to update the links. This will mean the values will remain as previously displayed. If you click the ‘Enable Content’ button, Excel for the Web will retrieve the values from all the linked workbooks.

To help you manage these links, Microsoft has added a new ‘Workbook Links’ task pane. This task pane may be accessed by pressing the ‘Workbook Links’ button on the Data tab.
