The error code 0x80040c81 is related to the installation of OneDrive on Windows 7. Here are some possible solutions:
- OneDrive is no longer supported on Windows 7. If this is the case, you will not be able to install or use OneDrive on your system.

- Reset OneDrive app a. Click on Start and select Settings. b. Go Apps > Apps and Features. c. Type OneDrive in the search box. d. Locate the OneDrive app from the list and click on it. e. Click on Advanced Options under the OneDrive app. f. Under OneDrive advanced options, scroll down to Terminate. Click on the Terminate button. g. Next, click on the Reset button. h. When asked to confirm, click on Reset. i. Close the Windows settings window and relaunch OneDrive client. Check for any improvements.
- Update Windows: Make sure that your Windows 7 operating system is up to date with the latest updates and service packs. Installing the latest updates can resolve compatibility issues.
- Uninstall and reinstall OneDrive: If you are experiencing issues with OneDrive, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
