Cannot paste a text in comments section (Word for Mac)

I used customized shortcuts to just copy/paste plain texts rather than formatting. Now every time I want to paste a piece of copied text in the comment section, it simply doesn't work. Is there any workaround for that?

I can confirm that Keep Text Only is not supported in Modern Comments regardless of whether you assign a key combo or just use the built-in methods.

This is a suggestion you might want to submit using Help> Feedback in the main menu.

    1. Tools -> Customize Keyboard -> PasteTextOnly (assigned Command +V)
    2. Only in the comments
    3. Modern ones

How did you customize the shortcut? For example, is it running a macro?
