Error with Caption in Clipchamp

I've used captions in Clipchamp for hundreds of videos and haven't run into this issue yet. I turned on the autocaption. It's telling me the process is complete, but that there are "no captions on the timeline." None of the video audio is turned off, so I know it's not a "mute" issue. There's definitely audio that needs to be captioned. I've restarted Clipchamp and also restarted my laptop to no avail. I really don't want to have to start from scratch on this video. Anyone know why it's not registering the audio for captioning?

    Hello

I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.

I understand that you're having trouble with the auto-caption feature in Clipchamp. This could be due to a variety of reasons, such as issues with the audio track, software glitches, or even network problems.

Here are a few things you could try:

    • Check Your Audio Track: Make sure the audio track in your video is clear and loud enough for the auto-caption feature to pick up
    • Re-add the Media: Try deleting the media from the media bin and re-adding it, then re-enable the captions
    • Export Without Captions: Try exporting the video first without the caption, then upload the exported video again, and finally add the caption
    • Check Network Settings: Some companies have strict network settings that might block certain features. You could check with your IT department to see if there are any restrictions that might be causing this issue
    • Check Firewall Settings: Firewalls can sometimes block certain features. You could check your firewall settings to see if Clipchamp's auto-captioning feature is being blocked

    I hope this helps.

I am having the same issue, I have tried all the above advice, checked my firewalls, reloaded, tried adding the exported file, tried deleting it and re adding it, it says it has completed the captions but there is no edit box and no captions appearing in the video and no srt. File generated. I have had so many problems with it recently I am ready to give up at this point!

I am running Windows 10 if thay makes a difference as my laptop wont support windows 11. However I've just tried on my friends windows 11 laptop and it seems to be actually making them this time. Please dont tell me it will no longer work on windows 10 as I cannot afford to upgrade.

I have the same problem. I have been testing for more than an hour with my colleagues from IT with no results. We have colleagues who can see "cc" and colleagues without the view of this function. We bought the premium licence for a test. And the crazy thing is that my team member has the ability to work with Capture and I do not.

Thanks so much! Exporting without captions and uploading the new file did the trick. I was talking with support yesterday for an hour and losing my mind. I really, really appreciate your help!
