Error code: 0x2 bdf5f OneNote sync error

Question

I am trying to use OneNote and I keep getting a 'Sync Incomplete' notice saying "We can't access this section file or the attached file because the file was moved, the file name is invalid, or the file permissions have been changed. (Error code: 0x2 bdf5f)"

Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

I am able to open OneNote in OneDrive but it doesnt sync to the application, and vice versa anything I do in the application can't sync to be viewable on my OneDrive

Hi, under Windows credentials it says 'No Windows Credentials' I have the option to add a windows credential but it needs my Internet/network address and username/password

Open Control Panel (search for it in start menu, or go to Start Menu > Windows System > Control Panel). User Accounts > Credential Manager > Windows Credentials. You should see something like MicrosoftOffice 16_Data:live:cid= in the lists. This is a Microsoft Office cached version of the account login, and may contain an out of date password or credentials cache. Click on it to delete / remove it, then try the sign in again via OneNote.

If you go to https://onedrive.com, and open the Notebook using OneNote online, are you able to open the Notebook correctly?
