I have a sync error in my onenote on my mac, it says "you can't edit this notebook because its location is no longer available".
It also turned to "read-only" now.
I tried "Notes won't sync" in https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/fix-issues-when-you-can-t-sync-onenote-299495ef-66d1-448f-90c1-b785a6968d45#Platform=Mac But it also gives an error that the item doesn't exist.
The version is Microsoft OneNote for Mac, version 16.83 (24031120)

Hello, Anneke
Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. My name is Kevin and I'm happy to help you. I totally understand your situation. I do apologize if you are experiencing a syncing error on your OneNote. Let me help you with it.
Make sure that the notebook file is still located in the same directory or folder where it was originally saved. If the file has been moved or deleted, you'll need to locate it and move it back to its original location.
Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access and edit the notebook file. If the file is located on a network drive or shared folder, check with your administrator to verify that you have the appropriate permissions.
Close and reopen OneNote to see if the error persists. Sometimes, simply restarting the application can resolve temporary issues with accessing files.
Try manually syncing the notebook to see if that resolves the error. In OneNote for Mac, go to the "Notebooks" view, right-click on the affected notebook, and select "Sync This Notebook Now".
If your notebook is stored on OneDrive, check the OneDrive sync status to ensure that the notebook is syncing properly. If there are any sync errors or conflicts, resolve them in OneDrive and then try syncing the notebook again in OneNote.
Method 2: Read-Only mode
If you're unable to resolve the error, you can open the notebook in read-only mode to access its contents temporarily. This will allow you to view and copy the content, but you won't be able to edit it until the sync issue is resolved.

Hi Anneke, I am Sumit, and I will gladly assist you today. Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Do you have an iPhone or iPad? If so, do the Notes sync successfully in that?
I look forward to your reply.
