Constantly having problems printing from Word.

Question

What happens is that it's as if it does send to the printer, because the little icon flashes up, but then it just disappears and no printing occurs.

Note: I have no problems printing from other programmes.

I see this was a known fault back in 2021.

Please help!

There have been some other reports of printing issues recently (for example https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/word-documents-wont-print/432f916e-0eec-4fc1-a2a4-6c62cffa9955), so it might be a good idea to send feedback directly to the Microsoft developers via Help > Feedback in Word.

If you convert one of your Word documents to PDF, and open it in Adobe Reader, are you then able to print the PDF properly?

Yes, that works.

But obviously I don't want to have to do that every time.

Thank you for your response.

This has happened with other printers and I can print from all other programs.

What I meant about the icon is that the little printer icon flashes up for a moment down the bottom of my screen, but then just disappears. I do not receive any error message.

I also have completely uninstalled Office 365 after trying a repair. But am still having the same issue.

P.S. Sorry, but I do not understand what this means..."Or are you printing out the wrong display of the question piece?"

1. Is the problem you are experiencing the inability to print Word documents? Or are you printing out the wrong display of the question piece?
2. What do you mean by the flashing small icons? Are you experiencing an error message? If so, can you share a screenshot of the error message with me?
3. If it's convenient for you, can you try to print on other printers to see if you encounter the same problem?
