How do I stop the optimize performance feature in Excel?

I constantly get the optimize performance popup in my simple spreadsheets even though there is NO performance issue. It is extremely annoying. How do I permanently stop it. I saw a thread over year ago about this same issue and apparently it is still an issue. There must be a way to stop it.

None of these solutions work for me. I don't have performance issues and don't need to optimize manually or otherwise. Popups occur on all of my simple spreadsheets. If I optimize, it makes changes I don't want. I have no graphics acceleration function under advanced options. Editing the registry is beyond my skill level. There should be a simple setting to turn it off.

We all hope for a solution to DISABLE this feature entirely soon.

This option should never have been made as a standard message on open for files. It should be easier to remove.

Hey

In general, you (Microsoft) add many features that are not needed and are a much more of a nuisance than any kind of help (sometimes creating an out right issue and impedance to getting work done).

In general, please seriously consider the following:

• Stop changing things that are not broke
• Stop adding new features without more vetting and testing
• Stop making new features the defaults, and ALWAYS allow a way to turn them on and off

I agree with the users here. This should have been added to Excel as an optional feature to use when the spreadsheet is not performing well. Adding up each time I have to click into the square on the right to regain the work space and remove the Check Performance ribbon is becoming truly expensive for our business. Add up my time and all of the other employees in the company and we are talking REAL productivity loss. Which means money.
