Embeded Excel file doesn't allow users to type in cell anymore

Had an embeded excel file that worked for a very long time that allowed users to type into cells and the changes wouldn't save. about 2 weeks ago I guess there was an update on Microsoft's end and now users cannot type into cells. I've tried multiple times to remake the embeded link etc. and made sure the allow users to type in cell was checked off but it doesn't work.

Anyone have a solution or is this a bug?

It seem like microsoft is no longer supporting that feature which is ridiculous. You have to have a business account for it to actually work. But the down side is then it tried to make everyone login to a microsoft account to view the document which defeats the purpose of it being embedded online. They are pushing people over to google sheets. I am working on the permissions with google sheets and will most likely start using that because of the these type of things continue to happen with microsoft.

I'm having the same issue. I have an Excel document on my personal One Drive account. I have set up Protect sheet permissions that allow a selected range to be edited while protection is on. I have checked the option to allow users to select the unlocked cells.

I have created an embed code via File-Share-Embed(onto Blog or Website) and set interactions to "let people type into cells (their changes will not be saved)."

I then embedded the code onto my website.

I have used this same OneDrive Excel document for over a year with no issues, but as other Microsoft users have commented in this thread, users can no longer type into the cells.

Please provide a solution, Deeksha, or escalate to Microsoft to fix the bug in the update ASAP; this is an essential document for my business.

    Thank you

Did you get this resolved? I’m having the same issue. Microsoft support doesn’t seem to be much help. Mine stopped working around the same time yours did.
