Excel Find/replace: cannot enter copied text into the replace cell

I want to change a couple of lines of text ca 200 chars, with a slightly edited version. There are ca 80 relevant cells in a column of ca 3000.

I have filled the find box with the original text,

Then I try to copy and paste the revised text from a spreadsheet cell into the replace cell. It will not paste.

I have tried to choose the column to be edited, and without choosing the column. Makes no difference.

Any idea what could be going wrong?

Thank you

From your description, it seems clipboard issue.

Have you tried restarting you computer? Sometime, a simple restart will fix this bug.

If issue persist, you may try pasting it to notepad, then copy it from notepad to replace cell field.
