Microsoft Forms Report text Display Issue

Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a limitation in Microsoft Forms when viewing response reports. Currently, when reviewing responses in the report summary, text-based answers are not fully displayed. Instead, only one or two responses are shown, and they are truncated after just two lines, making it difficult to review the complete feedback.

This issue significantly reduces the effectiveness of the report feature, as it requires users to manually open the individual response section to view full answers—defeating the purpose of having a summary report. Worst than that is that when I share a link to the report I simply cannot see anything but one line of the answer which isnt even complete... Compared to Google Forms, which allows users to see complete responses directly in the report, this limitation in Microsoft Forms is frustrating and inefficient.

Having a complete and clear overview of responses is essential for analyzing feedback efficiently. I kindly request that Microsoft consider improving the reporting functionality in Microsoft Forms to allow full visibility of text responses within the report summary. This enhancement would greatly improve usability and provide a better user experience.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this request. I look forward to your response and any potential updates regarding this issue.

Best regards,

    Dear Anthony,

Thanks for your feedback and I fully understand the inconvenience that the text response is truncated in the response summary and the response summary page isn't showed with a full text content when sharing with a link.

I'm afraid that currently the format is that developed and no settings can be made to change that from your side.

In my opinion, letting the flow to generate an email with the whole content table from your side may be a better way.

However, to use the way, you may get all form responses from API with the premium Power Automate connector and register an app to call the API in Microsoft Entra first.

If you want to do that, you can refer to the detailed information in my another thread Power Automate - Form API Sharepoint HTTP Request fail - Microsoft Community.

As our product developers are willing to listen to users' requirements, I suggest you send your feedback and pass on your suggestions to our new feedback platform mentioned in the following article so that product developers know your suggestions and feedback to improve the product.

Submit feedback for Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Community Center

Please note that the platform page will load after a while depending on the network environments.

You can also access the page as follows to submit feedback.

You can use a personal account or a Microsoft 365 work or school account to send feedback.

    Your understanding is greatly appreciated!

    Have a nice day!
