Dear Karolina,
Good day! Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community. We are here to assist you
Currently, SharePoint's built-in analytics only allow you to export usage data for the last 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct option to export data for the entire year.
The support article indicates that the report provides data on popular content for the past 7 days exclusively. I have attempted to find an option to extend this period, but it appears that there are no available settings to access a report covering more than 7 days. For further details, please refer to the following resource: View usage data for your SharePoint site (microsoft.com)
I appreciate your request, and I concur that having access to more than 7 days of data would be beneficial. I kindly encourage you to submit your feedback through the SharePoint feedback portal to ensure that the Product Group is made aware of your requirements. The feedback portal is the most effective way to communicate with the Product Group, as it is actively monitored by their team.
Besides, you can also get the SharePoint site usage report via Microsoft 365 Reports in the admin center. For example, you can get a high-level view of the value you are getting from SharePoint in terms of the total number of files that users store in SharePoint sites, how many files are actively being used, and the storage consumed across all these sites. Then, you can drill into the SharePoint site usage report to understand the trends and per site level details for all sites. For detailed information, see Microsoft 365 admin center SharePoint site usage reports - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs which requires global admin permission.
I will keep this thread open and invite other community members and MVP for their valuable assistance and suggestions, this will help you more.
I hope you are staying safe and well! Have a great day and take care! 😊
Sincerely,
Naren | Microsoft Community Moderator
