I pay for Microsoft365 PERSONNAL but only appear to have Microsoft365 Free version. How can I change this and how do I remove the free version to install the PERSONAL subscription version. I may have a problem that I inadvertantly set up more than one profile ... could that be the problem and how do I share all the data files for both profiles before I delete one of them. I use Windows 10 and problem is on both the desktop and laptop computers. HELP!!

    Dear Michael,

Hello! Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It looks like you are having issues with your subscription when using Office. You purchased a Microsoft 365 personal subscription, but it is currently showing as a free version. I understand your feelings and I will do my best to help you.

First, you can log in to your Microsoft account on the website here, click "Subscription" on the left, and check if your subscription status is normal.

If everything is OK, you need to log in to your Microsoft account with the subscription in the Microsoft Office application. It should be correctly activated as a Microsoft 365 subscription version.

If the activation is still problematic. Please uninstall your current Office and reinstall it. You can install it directly on the subscription interface.

I noticed that you mentioned that you have set up multiple profiles. Do you mean the profile of the Office account or the user in Windows? If it is the profile of the Office account, you only need to switch to another account, and the files you set up with Office (such as Word, Excel) will still be saved on your computer and will not be lost due to account deletion. Uninstalling Office will not cause you to lose any files. But if your files are saved in Onedrive, you need to save the files locally on your device first.

If you mean the Windows user profile. You can directly copy the files you need from the User folder to the user configuration you need. In addition, the Microsoft 365 subscription only supports you to activate Office in one user account. If you activate it in user A, you can only use it in account A.

If you have any questions when reading my reply, please ask directly. I will answer them for you.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best wishes
