I want to install a Windows 10 virtual machine through Hyper-V( I selected Generation 2, ISO downloaded using media creation tool). However, I always encounter this error:

Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation.

What should I do to fix it?

Thanks.

    Hello,

This could be caused by not enough memory assigned to your VM. You could try to configure your VM with 1024MB RAM or more. You could also try to disable the dynamic memory if you have enabled it.

    Hello,

It seems the installation media is not properly downloaded or is corrupted. I recommend you to directly download ISO file from this page:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10ISO

    See if this helps!

It might be that the media creation tool doesn't support the right capabilities for the Hyper-V to use as an installation ISO. Do you have a way to get a full ISO from Visual Studio downloads?

I had a problem with Hyper-V not installing Win 10 from an ISO.

My mistake was attempting to install a 32-bit OS on a Gen-2 VM.
I pointed it to a 64-bit bit version and solved the problem.
