    Dear Marc Minne

    I need to add something to my previous reply:

    Recently, users have been using Office 2024/Microsoft 365 and have received the error "Please come back later to use the product key. Error code: InternalClientError" or "Sorry, unable to set up account. Internal client error."

    This is a temporary server issue. Don't worry. You are not alone. According to the latest feedback, this issue seems to have been resolved. Please try again to confirm whether it works.

    Dear Marc Minne

    Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you are having problems with Office key redemption failure. I understand your feelings, and this problem is indeed troubling.

    Based on your description, did you redeem through the two websites [www.office.com/setup] and [Microsoft365.com/setup]? Are the time zone and region set on the computer correct?

    Usually, the failure to redeem Office is related to the Office status, key status, and network environment. We can check these aspects one by one:

    --> Modify network settings:

    • If you have turned on a VPN or accelerator, please turn them all off.
    • Change your computer's network connection, which can be switched to mobile hotspot.
    • Tap Windows+R and type [inetcpl.cpl] to open Internet Options.
    • Click [Connections] in the upper menu bar, click [LAN Settings], tick [Auto-detect settings] and make sure the remaining two are unchecked, click [OK].
    • Click [Advanced] on the right side of the upper menu bar, pull down the slider, tick [Restore Advanced Settings], click [Apply] on the bottom right corner, and then click [OK].

    -->Change device

    • You can try to use your mobile phone or other devices to access the redemption webpage and try to redeem again.

    --> Contact Chat

    • If you still can't redeem, don't worry, you can contact the Chat team to investigate the key, check its specific status, and assist you with the redemption.
    • I have taken screenshots of the key steps to make sure you are doing it correctly. You can choose to chat with support one-on-one online or wait for a support specialist to call you back:

    Contact Microsoft Support.

    1. Visit this website: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. Type [Contact] in the search box there.
    3. Now click [Get help], and Select [Contact Support] below.
    4. Go to the [Products and services] tab, and choose either [Microsoft 365 and Office] category or Other Products
    5. On the Category tab, choose [Technical Support] or other alternatives.
    6. Go to Confirm.
    7. You can now choose the option of [Chat with a support agent on your web browser].

    ❗Tips: If after completing the above steps, the page is not available, it may be a day or period off, and it is recommended that you contact them during the working hours requested by the page.

    I hope this is helpful to you and don't hesitate to ask any questions. We are looking forward to hearing from you and will continue to assist you.
