Hello,

I'm using OneNote on IPad and I don't kow why all the information I've written down on my note were deleted while I was scrolling through it.

I first thought of a displaying bug. So I exited the app and launched it back, but the page is still clear...

I lost 4h of work there, I'd like to recover it, and it seems there is no history on the App...

How can this happen ? Can I recover my work ?

Thanks for helping

Hello Antoine Plouviez,   Welcome to the Microsoft Community. Understanding that you are experiencing issues with OneNote for iPad where the content of your notes suddenly disappears, the page goes blank and cannot be recovered by restarting the app, can be a real source of anxiety and distress. You have invested a lot of time in this content and the experience of sudden loss is very frustrating.

There are a couple of common reasons that may be involved in this situation:

The content is not uploaded to the cloud in time due to network fluctuations during synchronization, app temporary cache anomalies affecting the local data display, or the page is accidentally deleted due to mis-touch triggers during operation (e.g., deletion triggered by gesture operations or keyboard shortcuts).

Since OneNote's auto-save mechanism usually synchronizes the content to OneDrive in real time, we recommend you to visit onenote.com and log in to the same account through your browser to check whether there is a recently saved version of the note in the cloud. If there is data left in the cloud, you can usually try to restore it on the web side or re-sync it to the iPad app.

It is important to note that the Microsoft community primarily provides technical advice, and we may not be able to directly assist in recovering content if the data cannot be retrieved both in the cloud and locally. If it is confirmed that the data was not synced to OneDrive, we recommend that you contact the technical OneDrive support team, who may be able to provide more in-depth recovery support through server logs.

We hope you were able to locate your backup content in the cloud, and recommend backing up important notes regularly in the future. Thank you for your understanding and patience! Best RegardsEliac.S - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
